The University of St Andrews Medical School in Scotland provides the Medicine (A100)(A10C) and the North American Medical Programme (St Andrews)(A990) courses that require UCAT.
UCAT
Interviews are allocated according to UCAT score alone (once minimum academic requirements and satisfactory personal statement and reference are met). As a Scottish university, there are two separate UCAT thresholds for English and Scottish applicants. UCAT Situational Judgement Score is used at interview, and obtaining band 4 in UCAT Situational Judgement does not automatically lead to rejection.

GCSE Requirements
GCSE Requirements for University of St Andrews Medical School are:
- Maths - Grade 5 minimum if not offered at A level
- English - Grade 5 minimum if not offered at A level
- Science - Grade 5 minimum in biology if not offered at A level
- Other requirements - Five GCSEs at Grade 7/A to be taken at one sitting. Note that Double Award Science is not acceptable in lieu of Biology. Students would be required to take Biology at AS or A-Level to fulfil the Biology requirement.

A-levels or Scottish Higher requirements.
AAA at A level including Chemistry and one other of Biology, Mathematics or Physics.
AAAAB at Higher in S5 including Chemistry and one of Biology, Mathematics or Physics in a single sitting. If not offered at Higher, students must also have achieved National 5 Grade B in Biology/Human Biology, Mathematics and English. In addition, grades BBB in Advanced Highers or a mix of Highers and Advanced Highers in S6 are required.
International Baccalaureate
38 points overall with 666 at Higher Level to include Chemistry and one other of Biology, Mathematics or Physics. Mathematics, Biology and English must be taken at Standard Level if not offered at HL.
Graduate Applicant Degree Requirements
Applicants with a 2:1 honours degree in a science subject, achieved in the last three years, will be considered with a B grade at A level or Advanced Higher Chemistry, and B grades GCSE or National 5 Biology, English and Mathematics.
