UCAT
Students will be ranked according to their UCAT scores. All candidates are required to score a minimum threshold in each subsection of the test, as well as achieve or exceed the set total sum of subsection scores.
Personal Statement
Evidence of motivation to study medicine, understanding of medicine as a career, community activities, leadership qualities, ability to work in a team and general interests.

GCSEs are not scored. Only minimum requirements needed
A-levels or Scottish Higher requirements.
Minimum AAA at A level including Chemistry and Biology plus a third subject. Please note that the standard offer is likely to be A*AA with the A* in either Chemistry or Biology. A Levels in General Studies and Critical Thinking are not accepted.
International Baccalaureate
Minimum 38 points overall including 6 in Biology and Chemistry at Higher level. Grade 5 in Standard level English is required. Please note that the standard offer is likely to be 39 points overall including 7 and 6 in Biology and Chemistry at Higher level.
Graduate Applicant Degree Requirements
Imperial does not accept graduate applications for their A100 course.
Widening Participation
A contextual offer of AAA rather than A*AA may be available. Widening participation candidates are flagged at application stage and this may be a factor at short-listing stage. The medical school is involved in the Pathways to Medicine scheme.See website for details.
Widening participation applicants will also see an adjustment applied to the set total sum of subsection scores required on the UCAT.
