Simulated Exam

The Simulated Exam is a realistic, full-length UCAT practice mock sat at a physical test centre. This is a unique mock exam not available on the MedEntry online platform. It’s designed to replicate the live UCAT experience as closely as possible.

Please arrive 30 minutes before your selected session. Check-in begins once you arrive and head to reception. Very late arrivals may be denied entry or may have their exam cut short to avoid disrupting the next session.

Only test takers will be allowed into the test centre. Anyone accompanying you will not be permitted inside, and no waiting areas are available. Please arrange to meet them outside once your exam is complete.

During check-in:

  1. Your photo ID will be verified
  2. You will be asked to read the UCAT UK Examination Rules and sign to confirm that you understand and agree to them.
  3. A photograph will be taken
  4. All personal belongings must be placed in a bag and set aside for the duration of the test. Please bring a bag with you for this purpose.
  5. Staff will conduct a visual inspection of your clothing, hands/arms, and any comfort aids before you enter the room

After check-in, you will be escorted to your desk space with a PC, keyboard and mouse. You will be provided with a laminated notebook and marker pen.

The total session time is approximately 2.5 hours, including:

  • Check-in
  • The full-length UCAT mock exam
  • Check-out

Bring your booking confirmation email (electronic or printed) and acceptable photo ID – the same type you will use on UCAT test day. Accepted forms of ID include:

  • Passport
  • Driver’s Licence
  • Proof of Age Card

You will need to bring a bag to store your personal belongings during the exam.

You will be provided with a laminated notebook and a marker pen. If you do not receive them, please ask the invigilator. If your marker pen is not working, you may request a replacement. Earplugs are also available upon request.

Yes, if you need a break, you can raise your hand to call the invigilator. You will receive another visual inspection before re-entering the test room. The exam will not be paused so you will lose time when out of the room.

Once you’ve completed your UCAT mock exam, please raise your hand. An invigilator will come to your station, end your test, and guide you out of the testing room.

Yes. You will receive your mock UCAT results via email within 24 hours of sitting the exam.

Rescheduling is allowed if there are spots remaining in your preferred time slot. Once sessions are fully booked, rescheduling will not be possible.

No, this is a new and exclusive exam that is only available through the in-person Simulated UCAT Exam event. It is not accessible on the MedEntry online platform.

No. All our 2025 simulated UCAT sessions (including both London dates and Birmingham) use the same mock. We recommend attending only once. Sitting it more than once won’t give you an additional advantage and may reduce the usefulness of the practice.
