How Do I Register for UCAT UK 2026?

You must complete a three-step process using the Pearson VUE online registration system to register and then book a test.

Step 1: Online account creation

To book your UCAT test, you'll first need to create an account with Pearson VUE. Keep in mind that registration must be completed personally — your school cannot do this on your behalf. You should only create one account, and you'll need to use your legal name exactly as it appears on the photo ID you'll bring to the test centre. Any discrepancy between your name and your ID will prevent you from sitting the test.

Special accommodations

Before booking your test, it is worth checking whether you are eligible for financial support or additional accommodations. Both must be arranged prior to booking.

UCAT Bursary Scheme: If you have financial need, you can apply for a UCAT bursary to fully cover your test fee. On approval, your bursary will automatically be applied to your account and your test fee will be waived when booking your test. If you have already paid for your test and are approved for a bursary, you can aply for a refund. Bursary scheme applications are open from 20 May 2026 (14:00 BST) and close 24 September 2026 (15:00 BST).

Access arrangements: Candidates with educational needs, disabilities, or medical conditions can apply for access arrangements. This can include additional time, rest breaks or other accommodations while sitting your test. Apply early as these arrangements must be approved before booking your test.

Step 2: Register for UCAT

Once you have created a UCAT account, you can register for your test via your online UCAT Account Dashboard. During registration, you will review your details and accept the testing policies before finalising your account. Once complete, your UCAT Account dashboard will confirm that you are authorised to sit UCAT.

We recommend registering for UCAT early so that you can book your test session as soon as bookings are made available (popular test dates and times can book out!).

Step 3: Booking a UCAT test

After completing the above steps, you can then log in to your Pearson VUE account to book your UCAT test, once bookings open on 23 June 2026.

UCAT UK is delivered in Pearson VUE test centres across the United Kingdom, and you can choose your UCAT testing centre. Some overseas test centres are also available.
