Scholarship Rules, Regulations, Guidelines and Conditions of Entry

Aside from UCAT Excellence Scholarships, all MedEntry scholarships are available only to current or previous MedEntry students.

MedEntry scholarships are up to the value of $1000 AUD. The amount is a one off payment in Australian Dollars, payable by cheque sent by certified post to the applicant’s mailing address. Scholarship funds must be claimed and processed by the winner within one year.

All information gathered is strictly confidential and will not be passed on to any third party.
Personal details will be kept for a reasonable time so that applicants can be informed of the results, to verify that rules have been complied with, and for accounting purposes.

Scholarships will be awarded to the most outstanding candidate among collected and eligible entries, as judged against relevant criteria. Decisions will be made by a panel consisting of academic(s), doctor(s), MedEntry staff and relevant community member(s). The panel’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. If there are two applicants who are equally outstanding, the panel will award each applicant a scholarship, or may in certain circumstances evenly distribute the scholarship between the applicants. No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are lost, delayed or damaged.

Successful applicants will be formally notified by phone and mail. Applicants may be required to provide certified evidence of their identity and address. Scholarship funds will not be transferred in any form to any other person, and the successful applicant is responsible for all applicable taxes. By applying for the scholarship, the successful applicant agrees to permit MedEntry to publish his/her name and city of origin.

Conduct and Limitations on Liability

Only one entry per applicant per scholarship is permitted. MedEntry will not accept any responsibility for an applicant's inaccurate detail(s), omission(s) or delay(s). MedEntry reserves the right to amend relevant rules at any time. By applying for a MedEntry scholarship, all participants (including the winner) agree to release and hold harmless MedEntry and its affiliates, each of their respective officers, directors, employees and agents from and against any claims or cause of actions arising out of or in any way connected with the entrants or the winner's participation in the scholarship and use of any prize awarded. MedEntry has specific rules for each scholarship to be read in conjunction with these rules. MedEntry will not be liable for any damage, loss or disappointment suffered by any person taking part or not being able to take part in entry for a scholarship. If, for any reason a scholarship is not capable of running as planned, MedEntry reserves the right at their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify, and/or suspend the scholarship.
